The Fresh Air First Difference

Furnace Cleaning · Northglenn, CO

Is Your Furnace Blowing Dust Into Every Room?

If your rooms turn dusty soon after the heat comes on, it probably is. Every bit of air in your home passes through the furnace blower. Front Range dust, pet hair and a summer of settled debris collect there while the furnace sits idle, and the first cold week sends it through every vent. Fresh Air First cleans the blower, cabinet and filter area for homes across Northglenn and the Denver metro, after a free inspection that shows you what is inside.

5 Signs Your Furnace Needs Cleaning

A dirty furnace still heats the house, so the buildup is easy to miss. The warning signs show up in your rooms instead. During a Colorado winter, with the heat running for hours each day, they get worse week by week.

Dust Comes Back Within Days

You dust on Saturday and the shelves are gray again by Tuesday. When the furnace cabinet and blower hold a layer of debris, every heating cycle sends some of it back out through the vents.

Back Bedrooms Never Warm Up

A blower wheel packed with dust moves less air, and the rooms at the end of the longest duct runs feel it first. The furnace still fires and the thermostat still clicks, but the far rooms lag behind. Clearing the blower is where we start.

Filters Turn Gray in a Few Weeks

A standard filter should last one to three months. If yours clogs in weeks, the system is moving more debris than it should, from inside the furnace, the return side, or both. The inspection photos show which.

The Furnace Runs Longer for the Same Warmth

Your routine has not changed, but the heat stays on longer each cycle. A dirty blower and cabinet restrict airflow, so the furnace works harder to deliver the same heat. That extra runtime shows up on the gas bill.

Nobody Remembers the Last Cleaning

Moving into a home with no service history, or losing track of the years, is reason enough to look inside. Buildup does not announce itself. Our inspection photographs what is in there before you decide anything.

If the inspection shows dust spread past the furnace into the duct runs, air duct cleaning belongs in the same visit. If the blower and cabinet are heavily contaminated, a furnace deep cleaning takes the blower motor components apart so each piece gets cleaned. If we find a part failing rather than dirty, we point you to furnace repair instead of selling you a cleaning that will not fix it.

How Much Does Furnace Cleaning Cost?

Across the Denver metro, a standard furnace cleaning typically runs about $100 to $250, and heavily contaminated systems cost more. Your exact figure comes from the free in-home inspection, which costs $0 whether or not you book.

A technician looks inside the furnace, photographs what is there, and quotes the price before any work begins. That price depends on the system’s condition, how easy it is to reach, and how much buildup is inside. Heavily contaminated furnaces move to deep-cleaning pricing, explained on the spot.

Standard Cleaning or Furnace Deep Cleaning?

Your Inspection Decides Which One You Need

Most furnaces need a standard cleaning. Some need the blower motor removed and taken apart. We do not guess, and we do not upsell once we are in your basement. Photos from the free inspection show which cleaning your system needs before you pay for either.

What You Get With Our Furnace Cleaning

You See the Dust Before It Leaves

Photos at the Start and the Finish

Every job starts with photographs of the inside of your furnace and ends with the same shots after cleaning. You see what came out, where it was sitting, and how the blower looks now. Nobody has to take our word for the result.

A Deep Clean Only When It Is Needed

Most furnaces need a standard cleaning, and that is what we recommend. When the photos show heavy contamination, we remove the blower motor components and clean each one individually. You see the evidence first, so the bigger job stays your call.

Three Months of Backup After We Leave

If dust, odor or airflow problems come back within three months, we return at no charge. Fresh Air First has cleaned Front Range systems since 2018, holds 4.9 stars across more than 200 Google reviews, and explains every finding in English or Spanish.

How a Furnace Cleaning Visit Works

From the first call to the after photos, here is the whole visit.

  1. 1. Book the Free Inspection

Book online or call. Tell us what you have noticed and when the furnace was last cleaned, if you know. We set a visit time that fits your day.

  2. 2. Inspect and Photograph the Furnace

A technician opens the cabinet, checks the blower, the filter, and the return and supply openings, and photographs their condition. Those photos decide whether a standard or deep cleaning fits.

  3. 3. Approve the Exact Price

You see the photos, hear the recommendation, and get the exact price before anything is touched. If the furnace does not need cleaning, we say so. Work starts only after you agree.

  4. 4. Clean, Then Compare the Photos

We clean the furnace with high-powered vacuum equipment and rotary brushes, then run it through a heating cycle. Before we leave, you see the after photos side by side with the before.

  • Move the Storage Away From the Furnace

Basement furnaces tend to collect boxes, bikes and holiday bins around them. A few feet of clear floor on each side lets the technician open the cabinet and start work right away.

  • Note the Filter Size and Date

Check the size printed on the edge of your current filter and roughly when it went in. It tells us how fast debris is building and whether a replacement is due.

  • Used Fresh Air First to clean our duct work and dryer vents. We had renters living in the home for 8 years with a few dogs and cats. The company was responsive and they were able to fit us in their schedule within a week of calling. Communication was great and included images. I went with the premium because of how much cleaning was needed. I have several rental properties and will definitely use them again. Excellent Job.

Your Furnace Cleaning Questions, Answered

Once a year for most homes, ideally in late summer or early fall before heating season starts. Homes with pets, a recent remodel, or a filter that clogs in weeks may need it sooner. A furnace with no known service history should be inspected before its next full winter.

Partly. With the power off, you can change the filter, vacuum loose dust from around the cabinet, and keep the area around the furnace clear. Removing the blower assembly and working near the burners and wiring belong to a technician, because a mistake there can damage the furnace or create a safety risk.

It reduces the dust that comes from the furnace itself. If the duct runs are also loaded, dust keeps coming from them until they are cleaned too, and dust from foot traffic and pets continues either way. The inspection photos show whether the furnace, the ducts or both are the source.

It can, when buildup is restricting airflow and making the furnace run longer than it should. How much depends on how dirty the system was and how the house is used, so we do not promise a dollar figure. A furnace that reaches temperature in shorter cycles burns less gas for the same warmth.

Usually, if the furnace is otherwise sound. Cleaning restores airflow on an older system the same way it does on a newer one. It will not fix a failing part, and when the inspection finds one, we tell you before any cleaning starts so you can decide whether a repair makes more sense.

Dust, odor and airflow problems that return within three months of the cleaning. If one of those comes back inside that window, call (720) 740-0836 and we return at no charge. The before-and-after photos from your visit give the technician a clear starting point for the return trip.
